Day 1
Arrival / Lhasa
Transfer via: by air-own arrangement
Upon arrival in the airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel. Free at leisure to acclimatize yourself to the high latituder.

Day 2 (B, L)
Lhasa
Visit the Potala Palace, The Jokhang Temple, The Barkhor Street.

The Potala Palace is a landmark of Lhasa and Lama Buddism. The construction of the present structure began during the reign of the fifth Dalai Lama in 1645 and took more than 50 years to complete.

Day 3 (B, L)
Lhasa
Visit the Drepong Monastery, The Sera Monastery, Tibetan Family visit.

The Tibetan Family: Common Tibetan people welcome you to their homes, greet you in their traditional way and entertain you with their typical food.

Day 4 (B, L)
Lhasa / Shigatse
Transfer via: by bus
Visit the Yomdrok Lake on the way (about 400km, 5.5 hours driving, have a picnic at the Yamdork Lake). Afternoon to visit the Tashilungpo Monastery in Shigatse.

Yomdrok Lake: within Langkamu county, with an area of 638 square km and a coastal line of 250 km.

Day 5 (B, L)
Shigates / Gyangtse / Tingri
Transfer via: by bus
Morning from Shigatse to Gyangtse (about 90km,1.5 hours driving). Visit the Kumbum Stupa & Pelkor Chode Monastery. Then drive to Tingri.

Palkhor Monastery: with 9 floors, 108 doors and 77 rooms. Each room contains a different statue of Buddha and the wall frescoes tells the story about it.

Day 6 (B, L)
Tingri
Visit the Everest Base Camp and Rongbuk Monastery. After visiting, drive back to Tingri.

Rongbuk Monastery: one of the largest monastic center in the region.

Day 7 (B)
Tingri / Lhasa
Transfer via: by bus
Drive back to Lhasa. The view on the way is memorable. Free time in Lhasa.

Day 8 (B)
Lhasa / Departure
Transfer via: by air-own arrangement
Transfer to the airport for your flight to next destination.

Meals as mentioned in the itinerary "B" stands for American breakfast, "L" for Chinese Lunch in local restaurant. "D" for Chinese dinner in local restaurant.
*Exceptions:
If the occasional hotel does not offer western breakfast, "B" stands for Chinese breakfast or if the clients requested Chinese breakfast
